ENSIS at Mondial du Vent 2023
The GWA Wingfoil World Cup in Leucate, the Mondial du Vent 2023 took place from the 4th to 10th off April 2023. We saw a week full of action at the beautiful venue of La Franqui beach in Leucate. The ENSIS team was part of the event and our riders came back with great results.
For Christina Konig, it was the first GWA Event of the year, she shares her impressions from the competition in Leucate.
My first GWA stop in Leucate this year.
All the top riders had conditions from zero up to 40 knots. The first day of competition was all about freestyle. Wingfoiling between 30-40 knots was a new challenge for me but this is what I love about competing – you have to go for it and do your best in any moment.
During the event we had lots of action in the water and on land, tow-in session, autograph session, meet and greet with top riders, party and so on. It made it easier to wait for wind to kick in to start the second highlight of the GWA event. The Slalom FreeFly.
I really like the format, because there is a long section of pumpfoiling. Now it’s not only the best equipment what counts on the water. It’s also the all over skillset a rider brings to the start.
The best part of the event was to meet the ENSIS team. Super positive vibes and great support from all of them. I’m looking forward seeing all of you on the water again.
All in all I’m happy to be part of the GWA Wingfoil World Tour and with my first Salom FreeFly result. Happy with my 9th place but still some space to improve.
