Wind, Women, & Wings
Successful Women’s Wingfoiling Weekend
From September 15th to 17th, 2023, Hemmelmark Camping Grounds hosted an extraordinary gathering of women who shared a passion for wingfoiling. The WOTS Girls Camp, organised by 1001grad EVENTS in collaboration with ENSIS, offered a unique retreat for ladies in the world of wingfoiling. With the event now concluded, let’s take a moment to reflect on the experiences and memories created during this exclusive wingfoiling weekend.
The Girls Camp Weekend
The camp welcomed 16 enthusiastic ladies, some with prior wingfoil experience and others just starting their journey into this exhilarating water sport. The event catered to all skill levels, ensuring that everyone had a chance to improve their riding. The ladies enjoyed ample time on the water, with activities ranging from wingfoiling to tow-foiling behind the boat.
Yoga sessions provided moments of relaxation and mindfulness, while informative tech and theory talks delved into the intricacies of wingfoiling. Saturday night hosted an unforgettable BBQ feast, where participants savoured delicious food and watched action-packed wingfoil movies. The combination of fun and learning made this retreat a well-rounded experience.
Passionate Wing Foil Coaches
The heart of the camp lay in its dedicated coaches, Laura Rudolph and Michi Näf. With their extensive experience in wingfoiling and their passion for pushing the boundaries of the sport, they provided expert guidance to all participants. Their commitment ensured that every attendee left with improved skills and a deeper love for wingfoiling.
ENSIS Apparel
The ladies who attended had access to all the latest gear from ENSIS ensuring everyone had the optimal equipment at the event and looking colourful in true ENSIS fashion.
