ENSIS young talent, Liam Calò, a 10-year-old boy, joined his father, Fabio Calò, a former Italian windsurfing champion, on an unforgettable trip to Corsica to explore and enjoy the island's amazing locations and conditions.
The journey began with a ferry ride from Livorno, Italy, to Bastia, Corsica. Liam was excited and eager to get in the water. Once they arrived, they travelled to Bonifacio, known for its beautiful landscapes.
Near Bonifacio, at the Piantarella lagoon, Liam showed off his wingfoiling skills. The lagoon is known for its calm, shallow waters and consistent wind conditions, making it an ideal spot for water sports. Liam confidently rode in both strong and light winds, and sent huge jumps. Joined by photographer Paolo Meitre Libertini who captured the epic moments.
The father and son visited several other spots, including Santa Manza and Balistra, where Liam enthusiastically continued to showcase his talent as a waterman. At just 10 years old, he has an incredible understanding of his equipment and the conditions.
No matter the conditions, Liam is eager to show his skill and love for watersports. Whether pump foiling, wingfoiling, or windsurfing, Liam is happy as long as he is in the water.
This trip was not just a bonding experience with his father but also a showcase of Liam's growing talent. Liam has a bright future in wingfoiling, and we look forward to watching his skills develop. Corsica's stunning scenery and ideal conditions provided a perfect backdrop for Liam to shine and improve his wingfoiling skills.
