Video: 5 tips for learning to Parawing

  1. Master ground handling!
Before heading out on the water, spend some time handling the parawing on land. Practice on the beach, and try using a skateboard, skis, or snowboard to get comfortable with the wing’s movements.
  1. Choose easy conditions and gear!
Start with the right equipment: a mid-length board with enough volume and a large foil is ideal. Pick calm, beginner-friendly conditions to make things easier.
  1. Flying start!
Parawings are super stable, so be sure to get the wing airborne before attempting to stand on the board.
  1. Bring a friend!
It’s great to have a buddy who knows how to parawing. If possible, have them join you on the water. This way, if you drift downwind, you can trade wings and work together to get back upwind.
  1. Stay calm!
Embrace the challenge - it’s all part of the fun! Enjoy the process of learning and remember that it’s all about trying something new and having a good time.
