The ENSIS ENGADIN just wrapped up, and it was a great one. We had beautiful weather, racing, and non-stop foiling action. The WINGFOILRACING team returned for another eventful stop, and the best-of-three session made a comeback too.

WINGFOILRACING Racing

The weather plays a huge role in Silvaplana. The lake sits high in the mountains, surrounded by snowy peaks. In summer, conditions can quickly flip from warm and sunny to bone-chillingly cold. Fortunately, this year delivered a full week of sunshine and warm temps. The racers got on the water every day, with conditions ranging from light to moderate wind. Racing in Silvaplana is all about technicality and strategy. Thanks to Devon and Dani for representing ENSIS out on the racecourse.

Best-of-Three.. now Best of Foil?

This year, the best-of-three format returned, but it became one massive super session. No heats, no structure, just a one-hour expression session open to everything foil: wingfoil, parawing, pumpfoil, scooter foil…whatever your imagination could dream up, as long as it flew on a foil. Who ever impressed the crowd and judges most won; and of course, it was Balz who won with ENSIS youngster Liam in third, and on the ladies side Eva and Laura sharing the podium with a second and third place.

It was all about creativity, fun, and putting on a show. Riders swapped sports mid-session, mixed things up, and impressed the crowd with their versatility. It was an all-out foil freestyle extravaganza.

The ENSIS team

ENSIS ENGADIN also serves as our home base event. It’s a time for the whole ENSIS team to come together, riders, friends, and crew - to hang out, share ideas, and have fun on and off the water.

The weekend kicked off with a team fondue dinner on Friday, followed by the annual ENSIS Pumpfoil Team Challenge on Saturday. Teams of three raced around buoys using pump foils and SUPs, collecting points. The winning team took the title, and everyone walked away with a pair of colourful, exclusive, never-to-be-reproduced ENSIS socks.

There was great energy throughout the weekend. Riders tested current and upcoming gear, shared ideas, pushed each other on the water, and had the chance to connect in person. Thank you to every ENSIS rider who joined, your energy, passion, and stoke are what make this team what it is.

See you at the next one

Sun, wind, foils, fondue, and a whole lot of fun, that’s what ENSIS ENGADINWING is all about. Thanks to everyone who made the event possible. If you haven’t been yet, put it on your list - the location, the people, and the energy make it an unforgettable event. Check out the recap video to see this years action!
