Unstoppable Young Gun in Cape Town

Liam Calò is the youngest talent on the ENSIS team, and at just 11 years old, he's already making waves! From Lake Garda, Liam is all about being on the water, whether he's windsurfing, surfing, wingfoiling, or even parawinging. His latest adventure took him all the way to South Africa, where he tackled some of the toughest conditions with his usual enthusiasm.

Cape Town is a dream destination for wind sports, offering everything from strong winds to light breezes, flat water to massive waves. Liam made the most of it, spending time at Rietvlei—a lake near the coast that gets serious wind, making it the perfect freestyle training ground. He also took on the challenge of learning the parawing, nailing it on his very first session using his tiny 27L ROCK’N’ROLL board.

One of the coolest things about being young and light? Every wave feels massive! But Liam isn't just riding kid-sized swells—he's out there charging waves that are big even for fully grown adults. He handles the conditions like a pro, carving his foil down the line and sending it with confidence.

Liam rides a 27L ROCK’N’ROLL board in all conditions. His go-to wing is a 2.8m SCORE, but when the wind picks up, he switches down to a 2.2m SPIN. Having the right-sized gear is crucial, and at ENSIS, we make sure even the youngest, lightest riders have the perfect setup.
