MANIAC Foil System

ENSIS Monoblock Design decoding=

MANIAC Monobloc Design
The MANIAC INFINITY ACE and MANIAC STRIDE ACE foils feature the innovative MANIAC Monobloc design, seamlessly integrating the front wing and fuselage into a single carbon piece. This design allows the perfect hydrodynamics for every front wing, minimizes flex, and is feather-light. The Monobloc is compatible with all MANIAC masts. You’ll instantly experience an extraordinary boost in performance from your very first ride on the MANIAC ACE foil.

ENSIS Fuselage Design decoding=

MANIAC Fuselage Design
The MANIAC Foil System features an interlocking mast connection point that minimizes flex and tilt, providing exceptional strength and an ultra-rigid connection. All foils are compatible with both aluminum and carbon masts. Some models such as the MANIAC PACER Wing Foil and the MANIAC STRIDE Pump Foil are engineered using the well-known foil design with a fuselage. The fuselage foil system is easy to assemble, reliable, and durable.

ENSIS MANIAC Foils One Tool Assembly decoding=

One tool assembly
ENSIS is renowned for its meticulous engineering and design work, and the MANIAC foils are a testament to this. Each screw is crafted from high-quality materials and clearly labeled. All screws feature a Torx 30 drive, so only one tool, the ENSIS Tool, is needed. The screw lengths are indicated by lines on the foil, ensuring you always use the correct screws. You will love these details!

Experts answer your questions

Which wing foil should I start with?

For complete beginners, the MANAIC PACER 1850 is an excellent choice, while heavier riders may prefer the PACER 2200 for extra lift and stability. Riders with prior wind sports experience can opt for the PACER 1550, which offers a balance of control and performance.

Which pump foil should I start with?

The MANIAC STRIDE 2050 is the best choice for learning to pump foil and dock starting. It offers great glide, stability, while still easily turning and carving. Lighter riders and kids may prefer the smaller STRIDE ACE 1740.

How does a beginner foil look like?

Entry-level foils, like the PACER, have a low to mid aspect ratio and generate a lot of lift. Their lower aspect ratio makes them more stable and forgiving, with minimal pitch sensitivity, which helps beginners get up and stay on foil more easily.

How does a foil for advanced riders look like?

Advanced foils, such as the MANIAC INFINITY ACE, have a higher aspect ratio. These foils are designed for greater speed, more efficient glide, better pop and increased maneuverability. They require more precise control but offer a higher level of performance.

When is a shorter mast appropriate?

Shorter masts are easier to control and more stable at low speeds. They are better suited for discoverers, pump foiling, or carving-oriented riding styles. Short masts are also chosen in shallow waters.

When is a longer mast appropriate?

Longer masts provide greater stability in choppy waters, prevent the foil from breaching at high speeds and offer more clearance for wave riding. They are preferred for performance wing foiling, downwind foiling, and high-speed riding.

What are the benefits of carbon masts?

Carbon masts offer higher performance due to their lightweight, increased stiffness, and improved strength-to-weight ratio. Their generally slimmer profile reduces drag, enhancing speed and efficiency. The preferred choice for demanding foilers.

What are the benefits of aluminum masts?

Aluminum masts are the stiffest option in our range, making them an excellent choice for dock starting and pump foiling. They are also more budget-friendly than carbon masts, making them a great option for discoverers building their first foiling setup.
