ENSIS EngadinWing 2024

In Switzerland, on Lake Silvaplana, the ENSIS EngadinWing 2024 is returning, starting on the 11th and ending on the 16th of June. It promises to be an action-packed week, with the International Wingfoil Racing Association (IWSA) hosting the Wingfoil Racing European Championships and numerous other foiling activities. Here is what you can expect.

2024 Formula Wing European Championship

The Wingfoil Racing European Championship, the main event, is being hosted by the International Wingfoil Racing Association (IWSA) on the 11th-15th of June. They will set up various courses on the lake, where riders will compete to be crowned the European champion. With extensive experience in hosting racing events, the IWSA ensures professionalism, and excitement throughout the week.

Best of 3, Freestyle and downwinders

It wouldn't be the ENSIS EngadinWing 2024 event without freestyle. On the 15th-16th, there's a lot of freestyle action planned. Firstly, kite foiling, wing foiling, and windsurf foiling will head-to-head in a 'foil off' showdown - the best of three format is making a return this year.

Additionally, the Swiss Freestyle Championships are planned, where local Swiss riders will battle it out to be crowned the Swiss wingfoiling freestyle champion. Lastly, there's a completely fresh idea: if conditions are appropriate, a downwind foil race on the lake. So riders better bring their downwind boards.

Who needs wind - pump foiling action!

When the wind's a no-show, get ready for pump foiling action! Same as last year, a team relay pump foil contest is planned if there is no wind. Last year's format had teams of three, each given four minutes to navigate around a course consisting of two buoys and a bar requiring riders to crouch low and duck underneath.
