The third DEFI WING has just concluded, and what a thrilling weekend it was! The tramontana winds didn't disappoint, building in strength over the three-day event. With the registration cap of 400 riders reached, the turnout was fantastic, matched only by the epic wind conditions and the thrilling races. Here's a recap of the excitement:

What is the DEFI WING?

DEFI is a renowned event held in Gruissan, France, known for its powerful offshore tramontana winds. It's not just a race; it's a mega event spanning over 20 km, with more than 400 participants lining up at the starting point. But DEFI is also a celebration of wind sports, featuring brands like ENSIS and others setting up stands. Attendees get the chance to mingle, share stories, and party with fellow wing and foil enthusiasts. DEFI caters to all skill levels, promising three days packed with fun and action.

What Happened?

Racing: On Days 1 and 2, five races covering a 20 km distance were held. Each race was divided into 5 km stretches, with riders navigating three marks before sprinting for the finish line. Day 3 brought even more excitement, starting with a 20 km race followed by a challenging 10 km stretch—double the distance with no rest for tired legs. The final race of the day was the DEFI finale, spanning over 40 km with three marks to round. To complete this race, wing foilers had to push their limits. The event totaled an impressive 160 km worht of racing.

ENSIS at DEFI Wing

The ENSIS team set up a booth at DEFI, showcasing the WALTZ and the newly released ROCK’N’ROLL. Attendees had the opportunity to test out these wings and boards. The ENSIS team took to the stage, sharing their passion for creating exceptional products and their team. A lucky winner even walked away with a brand-new SCORE Limited Edition in a giveaway.

A notable moment was the ENSIS presentation showcased on the stage at the Defi Wing event, featuring riders Balz Müller, Antoine Albeau, Michi Näf, Joshua Pretorius, and Audrey Marie-Agnes. You can rewatch the presentation in this video:

A big thank you to the ENSIS team - Balz, Antoine, Michael, Joshua and Audrey - for their enthusiastic participation and for spreading their love for the sport.
