Meet Liam Calo, one of the youngest rippers on the ENSIS team. At just 12 years old, he’s already turning heads in the world of wingfoiling with his fearless riding, technical tricks, and energy on the water.

Growing up on the water

With a father who was a professional windsurfer in Italy, it’s no surprise that watersports come naturally to Liam. His early years were spent watching, learning, and eventually jumping on a board himself. Now, he’s not just riding, he’s landing huge, technical tricks and charging hard in all kinds of conditions.

Riding all over the world

From Lake Garda to Cape Town to Corsica, Liam has already experienced some of the best spots in the world. He thrives in a variety of conditions; wind, waves, and even the challenging, gusty days, and always does it with a smile. Wherever he’s riding, Liam is ready to push his limits and test his skills.

Not afraid to try something new

One of Liam’s strengths is how quickly he learns. On a windy day in Cape Town, he tried parawinging for the first time and was up and foiling within minutes. Whether it’s freestyle, waves, racing, or something completely new, Liam brings the same curiosity and determination to everything he does.

Involved in the community

Liam is a regular face at events, taking part in racing, freestyle, and pump foiling competitions. He’s already making podium appearances and showing that he’s not just talented for his age, he’s a serious competitor in his own right.

The gear that keeps him flying

When it comes to wingfoiling gear for kids, Liam rides a setup that’s perfectly matched to his size and style. He rides the the ENSIS ROCK’N’ROLL 27 and his light wind board is the  ROCK’N’ROLL 37 ( Not many people can say their light wind board is 37 liters…).

For wings, he switches between the ENSIS TOPSPIN 2.0 and 2.5 for freestyle, and the TOPSPIN ACE 3.0 and 4.0 when he wants more speed and power. This gear gives him the control, lift, and responsiveness he needs to ride at the highest level, while still being light enough for a younger rider.

A bright future ahead

At just 12 years old, Liam is already an exciting name to watch in wingfoiling. His talent, drive, and love for the sport are clear every time he hits the water, and we’re proud to have him in the ENSIS family.
