The MANIAC STRIDE ACE is our high-performance foil for riders chasing speed, endless glide, and effortless pumping to stay on foil. Available in two sizes - 1360 and 1740 - it’s built to perform. And what better way to put it to the test than in competition? The MANIAC series was soft-launched at BOOT Düsseldorf earlier this year, where our riders used the STRIDE ACE in the first-ever indoor pump foiling event. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the STRIDE ACE such a standout performer.

The MANIAC SYSTEM

There are multiple forces at play in a foil setup, and minimizing flex is key to achieving a smooth ride and consistent performance. Before diving into the STRIDE ACE itself, it’s worth highlighting how the MANIAC system supports overall performance and feel.

The MANIAC series is engineered to be stiff enough to handle the high loads created by the wide wingspans used in pump foiling. We achieved that stiffness in several key ways:

The fuselage/monobloc-to-mast connection features an interlocking joint. Rather than fitting over the mast, the fuselage slots in and rests on top. This design reduces tilt flex (side-to-side movement), which is especially critical with wide wings. It also results in a slimmer, more hydrodynamic connection.

We also made sure the mast is rigid enough to eliminate unwanted movement. The MANIAC mast range is purpose-built for pump foiling. The aluminum mast, in particular, features a thicker profile, making it incredibly stiff while remaining a great value option.

STRIDE ACE Design

The MANIAC STRIDE ACE was designed from the ground up for glide, speed, and pump foiling. The foil profile was chosen not just for early lift, but to match the rhythm and motion of pumping. We selected a high-lift section with a moderate amount of camber to balance efficiency and responsiveness.

The wing gradually tapers into tips with slight anhedral, enhancing both stability and glide. This makes it easy to build and maintain speed while pump foiling - and the more speed you carry, the easier it is to stay on foil. Paired with a fast, hydrodynamic shape that’s also playful, the STRIDE ACE delivers an addictive ride.

ACE is our no-compromise range, and the STRIDE ACE is a perfect example. Built with high modulus carbon fiber and mounted on a monobloc system, it offers an ultra-rigid, hydrodynamic connection. The entire setup is incredibly light, yet impressively strong.

Pump Foil Competition Ready

We’re proud to say the STRIDE ACE has proven itself on the competition stage. At BOOT Düsseldorf, the first-ever indoor pump foiling and wing foiling competitions took place - and the STRIDE ACE 1360 finished on the podium. It was the foil of choice for our riders, delivering speed, efficiency, and precise control. Most importantly, it was fun. If you’re looking for a foil that’s easy and enjoyable to ride, yet ranks among the top performers, the MANIAC STRIDE ACE is well worth a try.
