This October, FOIL MANIA YOUTH travelled to Sardinia for a kids foiling week full of action on the water. The island welcomed the young riders with clear blue sea, soft beaches, and warm sunshine. It was the perfect place for a bunch of young enthusiastic foilers who were all ready to hit the water!
About FOIL MANIA YOUTH
FOIL MANIA YOUTH is all about helping kids get excited about foiling. As part of the Swiss Foiling Federation, the club brings together young riders to learn and enjoy wingfoiling and pumpfoiling.
Led by coaches and ENSIS riders Michi and Laura, FOIL MANIA YOUTH isn’t just about improving skills, it’s about building a young community of people who love being on the water. Whether it’s racing, freestyle, or just having fun, the club supports all kinds of foiling activities. They organise events, meet-ups, and competitions to encourage kids to learn, push themselves, and most importantly, enjoy every moment. This time they went to the Sardina!
Riding Conditions

The wind was light on most days, so the riders made the most of every breeze. When gusts came through, they headed out on their wings and enjoyed long glides and freestyle sessions. Sardinia offered a wide, open coastline with plenty of space to foil and explore.

Throughout the event, Michi and Laura coached the young foilers, joined by ENSIS team rider Thomas Goodricke. Together, they helped kids get on the water, understand their gear, improve technique, and build confidence.

Fun on Calm Days

On days without wind, the group stayed busy with beach activities and pump foiling. The calm water was perfect for practicing long glides and trying new tricks. Even off the wings, the kids stayed active, having fun, pushing and cheering each other on.

Community and Growth
Around 15 young riders joined the Sardinia event, from beginners to more experienced foilers. What stood out most was the supportive atmosphere – kids helped each other, shared tips, and most importantly had a whole bunch of fun. By the end of the week, the young riders were more confident and excited to keep foiling.
