Parawinging has become a mainstay of foiling, a way to connect with the wind and ride hands-free on the swell. At ENSIS, we made the ENSIS ROGER to make parawinging simple, reliable, and fun. Designed for riders who want freedom on the water, the ROGER makes it easy to switch from powered foiling to pure glide whenever you want.

Why parawing?

Once you’re up and gliding, you can pack it away and enjoy the feeling of riding freely on the energy of the water. When the glide fades, redeploy it in seconds and keep going, it’s addictive, smooth, and rewarding.

As Balz Müller explains, it’s the perfect toy for downwinding conditions. “During downwinders or when it’s onshore and messy, the parawing lets me zigzag, pick the fun bumps, and just keep riding. At wave spots with side winds, I can use it to get to the peak, pack it, and surf hands-free back in.”

It’s all about having the right tool for the session, one that lets you explore, adapt, and stay on the foil longer.

Getting started

If you’re already comfortable foiling, parawinging comes naturally. It works best with longer boards like the JIVE and WALTZ, and downwind-oriented foils that offer efficient glide. Standard wingfoil boards will also work, though they require more power and technique to take off. And since the parawing doesn’t float like an inflatable wing, always use a board leash to keep your setup close.

The ENSIS ROGER

The ENSIS ROGER was built specifically for parawinging, offering stability, power control, and easy handling. Its lightweight single-skin design folds away in seconds when you want to surf freely and redeploys instantly when the wind picks up again.

With color-coded lines, bar, and bridles, setup is quick and intuitive. The precise control system lets you fine-tune power levels with ease, keeping you comfortable across a wide wind range. The ROGER also stands out for its excellent upwind performance and steady flight, even in gusty or uneven conditions.

Behind the ROGER’s design is Patrick Aggeler, who draws on years of paragliding experience behind every detail. The result is a wing that feels natural in the air and on the water. Balanced, predictable, and ready for any session.

Designer Patrick and Michi “Rawham” share their insights into the ROGER’s development, features, and performance. They break down the design process, explain what makes the ROGER special, and show how it performs in real sessions.

As Balz puts it: “The ROGER just works. It’s super stable, easy to control, and gives you so much freedom on the water.”
