ENSIS Team in Tenerife

Balz, Michi and Eva left Switzerland’s winter wonderland for the “warmer” and windier shores of Tenerife, ready to chase waves and wind. With parawinging, wingfoiling, and wave riding on the agenda, they were set for an action-packed trip. Behind the lens, Benjamin Boerez was there to capture every moment.

Freestyle Action at El Médano
The team had epic sessions on the south side of the island at El Médano. With a mix of flat sections, small waves, and solid wind, the ENSIS team went all in for some wingfoil and parawing freestyle action.

Michi and Eva hit the water on the 4.5m SCORE and SCORE Limited Edition, sharing waves and catching up between tricks. One of the underappreciated aspects of wingfoiling is the ability to pause mid-session and chat with friends right in the middle of the ocean.

Eva put on a show for the camera with stylish toeside rotations, jumps, and smooth carves.

Meanwhile, Michi seemed unable to keep his foil in the water, launching into all sorts of flips, including a one-handed backflip and some fully extended raley jumps with serious hang time.

Parawinging Strapless Freestyle? Not exactly the design intention, but when Balz is involved, you can expect the unexpected. Freestyle is all about pushing the limits, right? Turns out, it’s harder than it looks!

Wave Action at La Caleta
Next, the ENSIS team set their sights on serious wave action. The forecast led Michi and Balz to the west side of the island, to La Caleta. With huge waves, a rocky and challenging entry, and powerful conditions, it was a tricky session . But that didn’t stop Michi and Balz from heading out for some intense parawing wingfoil wave riding.

Riding the parawing in these conditions is tricky—there’s a lot to manage if you fall in the wrong section. But Michi didn’t let that stop him from charging into some massive waves.

The wind and waves lined up perfectly, creating stunning conditions. Still, even Michi “Rawham” Näf has to take a wave on the head sometimes!

Balz, on a SCORE 4.5m, put on a masterclass in wave riding, blending huge windsurfing-style influences into his session – backwinding, top turns, and hard carves. Watching it in person must have been unreal.

And of course, a one-handed backflip here and there just to keep things interesting, plus some impressive spray-throwing with the foil – just because he can.
A Successful Trip
The ENSIS team’s trip to Tenerife was a massive success—epic wind and waves, new gear put to the test, and incredible photos captured along the way. Their enthusiasm and passion for the sport could be seen in every session.

A huge thank you to Benjamin Boerez (@photomedano on Instagram) for capturing the action and to the ENSIS team for representing what ENSIS is all about on the water!
